As someone who’s prone to use possessive pronouns when talking about the people I care about, I wasn’t bothered by Natasha being referred to as Bucky’s girl earlier in this storyline, although I understand why some people were. But I really actively like it being applied both ways. He is hers and she is his and they are both their own too. Love can be complicated like that.

Doom: The boy has a point, Colonel Fury… Or is it Ex-Colonel now? Von Doom stopped trying to keep track of al your promotions and demotions long ago.
Nick: Sure, because “Von Doom” was too busy programming robot dopplegangers of himself. Like any sane ruler of a country does, right?
Doom: Only a fool would criticize perfectionism.

Bucky: I don’t know about that…but I’d think, with what we found…

Bucky: Looks like A.I.M. is trying to drop even further off the radar than usual…and I don’t know what that means.
Kate: You mean, are they on the run, or are they about to do something?
Bucky: Exactly.
Eli: Why were you after them?
Bucky: Mostly ‘cause I’m trying to find out what the Red Skull is up to.
Eli: The Red Skull?!
Bucky: Don’t get excited, Eli. You’re staying a mile away from this, believe me. There’s a firestorm coming and I won’t have you kids getting burned by it.
Eli: Hey, wait! I wanted to—hey! Damn it. I wanted to talk to him…but he doesn’t even take us seriously.
Kate: That’s not it.
Eli: Then what?
Kate: Just what he said. He cares…about us. It’s sort of irritating, but also…kind of hot. Anyway, you can still talk to him. I put a tracker on his bike.
Eli: What?!
Kate: I’m a genius, remember?
Eli:. You are, Kate…but he is way too old for you…you know that, right?

I’d forgotten that Kate’s crush on Bucky is actually canon.
